I'm James Karanja, a digital brand and authority consultant based in Nairobi, working with clients anywhere in the world.
My story
I was born in Murang'a County, Kenya, and started out with a background in electrical and electronics engineering. That training shaped how I think: every system has parts, the parts connect, and if one fails the whole thing underperforms.
I taught myself full-stack development and digital marketing, then spent years building websites, content systems and campaigns for coaching brands and organisations. Today I lead digital for a UK executive coaching brand and a youth leadership organisation, and I mentor young African creatives building their first portfolios.
What I kept seeing were brilliant people who were invisible. Not because they lacked skill, but because their positioning was vague, their website was generic, and when someone searched for help, or asked an AI, their name never came up.
So that's what I work on now. I help experts, businesses and creatives, wherever they are, become the obvious answer in their field.
